CONASTA 64 – Science: A Kaleidoscope of Wonder and Opportunity

HEAR FROM an outstanding line-up of Keynote speakers

TAKE PART in a broad program of professional learning workshops for primary and secondary teachers and school science technicians, including laboratory and computer workshops, hands-on activities, seminars and discussions.

VISIT some of Perth’s premier science and research facilities.

DEVELOP national networks of like-minded colleagues, including primary and secondary teachers, laboratory technicians, curriculum leaders, representatives from not-for-profit and government organisations, resource providers and other interested guests.

ENJOY social events such as the Happy Hour drinks and cocktail events, breakfasts, dinners and post-conference tours.

CONASTA 64 will be held from 5-9 July 2015 at Mercedes College, Perth WA. Keynote presentations include:

  • Professor Fiona Wood, whose work in the development of ‘spray on skin’ has revolutionised treatment for burn victims.
  • Professor Steve Tingay, Director of the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research.
  • Professor Iain Walker, whose work focuses on the use of social science to solve pressing sustainability problems.
  • Dr Kate Trinajstic, vertebrate paleontologist and ARC Fellow.

With a special Stanhope Oration, ‘Maritime Archaeology: The Preservation of Ancient Artifacts Using Electrochemical Processes’ presented by Dr Ian Macleod.

The full CONASTA 64 program will be available in early February. Registrations will open at that time.
